Project Estimation

As with any industry, cost and value for money solutions are critical to the overall success of contract/project.

At AML we utilise the latest estimating software products to enable us to accurately estimate the cost of projects, to the requirements of tender specifications. The software contains reference to all materials and equipment currently available on the market by manufacturer, and enables our estimators to tailor a cost solution for the required contract/project.

Design Service

Quality design is critical to the success of any building services project.

AML's input into the design process, ensures that, as well as accommodating any buildings user's requirements, services can be effectively installed and maintained without compromising the aesthetic detail required by the end user.

Our engineers bring professional technical expertise to all aspects of the design process, from the development of working construction/installation drawings to taking an instruction for an entire concept to completion design.

Our in-house CAD facilities enable us to link to bespoke lighting packages in order to calculate and design interior layouts to specific manufacturer or fitting type requirements. Thereafter, our designers are able to offer 3D modelling of a particular area for client approval. The same level of expertise is applied to plant and services layout/design which is modelled and finalised again to client specific requirements.

On practical completion of contracts our engineers produce quality operation and maintenance manuals to the required standard along with site specific as installed drawings.

Supplier Management

It is imperative that the relationships developed with our suppliers are maintained in order to ensure installation works are kept on programme.

AML strives to deliver the best levels of supplier reliability that contribute to the overall success of our projects.

We therefore work with only the largest and most renowned suppliers and products in the industry, to allow us to maintain a nationwide supplier chain.

This helps us to increase the performance, contribution and value from all our suppliers, enabling us to optimise costs, service and quality.

Installation

The company is committed to the highest standards of customer services and performance on projects through our ongoing continuous improvement training schemes.

Each of our qualified installations engineers has undertaken training to allow us to expand their installations knowledge and increase site productivity which in turn reduces installation programmes.

We also actively recruit and endorse apprentices who undertake various schemes from the government funded modern apprenticeship, to electrical improvers undertaking City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications. The company also encourages and funds continuous improvement of our staff to gain additional qualifications such as City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.

Testing & Commissioning

Testing and Commissioning of our installations is carried out by our qualified NICEIC or Corgi supervisors. We actively encourage site testing to be undertaken by our staff qualified to City & Guilds 2391 level, reporting results directly to the respective qualified supervisor. The company conducts in-house training in our testing facility, which is utilised by all staff for on-going testing refresher purposes.
